We are currently seeking an experienced Yard Hand with an MC license to join our professional organisation based in our clients depo in Erskine Park. This is a physically demanding position and you will need to be able to climb easily from the ground onto the truck / trailer and dismount, restrain loads and move fully loaded trucks from one part of the depot to another.
Be prepared to start ASAP and get a mixture of work ie Local, Regional and Yard Driving no two days are the same.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Multi-combination (MC) driver's license
- A current LF forklift license
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work individually and in a team
- Enthusiasm and looking for personal development
- Ability to restrain loads in the correct manner
- A strong safety focus
The role will be varied and will include the following duties:
- Loading and unloading trucks when required
- Moving trucks around the yard from rigid through to B-Doubles
- Local deliveries as required
- General warehouse duties
- Thorough understanding of WHS policies and procedures
- Available to start ASAP
